Cognizant is looking for a Senior Privacy Counsel to support our global privacy compliance program and strengthen our commitment to responsible digital leadership.
In this role, you will help manage privacy governance, monitor global privacy regulations, support training programs, review policies, and advise on privacy risks related to new products and services. You will also conduct privacy impact assessments and work closely with global teams across regions and business units.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development and implementation of privacy program activities
Oversee privacy governance, roles, responsibilities, and reporting
Monitor privacy, data, and cybersecurity developments
Maintain privacy training and awareness programs
Manage global and regional privacy policies and notices
Maintain global compliance processes (RoPA, PIAs, TIAs, etc.)
Conduct privacy and transfer impact assessments
Provide privacy guidance on new business initiatives
Demonstrate Cognizant leadership values in all actions
Required Qualifications
Strong expertise in global privacy regulations (including GDPR)
Experience managing privacy matters across multiple regions
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Strong project management and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work in dynamic, global, and multicultural environments
Experience with privacy compliance tools and technology
Law degree or equivalent qualification
Ability to take informed decisions based on risk and business needs
Work Model
Hybrid role — 3 days per week in office (client or Cognizant location)
